This part a Bearing Cover Cap is a plastic screw on cap which attaches on the body/housing opposite the handle. It protect the reel’s main gear bearing from sand and water.

Please note these are the same Bearing Cover Caps as the Battle 3 series so Penn kept the original part number which also works for your reel so don’t let the BTLiii throw you off. This Penn Reel Part also fits on the Penn Pursuit IV and IV LE 3000 reels.
