Description
The EPIRB MT606G Category 2 distress beacon is designed for use when the safety of your vessel and crew is at risk and you have no other means of communication. The EPIRB can save your life as well as the lives of others on board by guiding air or sea rescue directly to your precise location. In the past, lengthy and extensive searches have often been conducted to find missing vessels, sometimes without success.
The MT606G incorporates emergency broadcasting via the automatic identification system (AIS). When activated, a distress signal is sent out to nearby ships equipped with AIS. A nearby vessel can potentially provide assistance more quickly than traditional search and rescue services, improving the chances of survival.
