Description
The distress beacon EPIRB MT606FG Category 1 in a case with hydrostatic release is designed to be used when the safety of your vessel and crew is at risk and you have no other means of communication. The EPIRB beacon can save your life as well as that of others on board by guiding air or sea rescue directly to your precise location. In the past, long and extensive searches were often conducted to locate missing vessels, sometimes without success.
The MT606FG includes emergency broadcasting via the Automatic Identification System (AIS). When activated, a distress signal is sent to nearby ships equipped with AIS. A nearby vessel can potentially assist faster than traditional search and rescue services, improving survival chances.
