A 3D color effect creates an extreme spectrum of light like no other.
Holographic Flashabou (“marabou flash”) is a popular synthetic material used in fly tying to add color, flash, and sparkle to fly patterns. It consists of thin, flat, and highly reflective strands made of a metallic colored holographic material that catches and reflects light. Flashabou is widely used in a variety of fly patterns to mimic the natural flash of baitfish scales, insect wings, or other underwater prey.
It consists of 10″ long strands of mylar tinsel, which are less stiff than other types, allowing for a lifelike movement in the water.
Flashabou is ideal for creating streamer patterns and can be used to wrap bodies or as highlights in baitfish patterns.
