By using Jig Off Tungsten Hook-Turner Beads you can turn any fly into one that turns upside down. Ths will reduce snags and will lead to more fish being hooked in the upper jaw, for a more secure catch. The more secure the hook is, the better your chances of bringing in that whopper of a fish!
Using these beads you can tie jig nymphs without using a jig hook. All you need is a standard fly hook.
The result is that the weight is distributed in a way that the nymphs always sink with the thicker (heavier) side of the beads down and the tip of the hook facing up.
